Oklahoma runs a medical market with live verification at the counter and two stacked tax layers. Here’s where the rules actually stand, sourced from statute and OMMA:
Every sale needs a live OMMA active-status check.
The register has to confirm an active OMMA license in Verify plus a government photo ID before it can complete a sale — and cards issued on or after November 1, 2025 carry a 12-character ID with a PDF417 barcode the scanner has to parse. That verification belongs in the money path, not bolted beside it.

Two tax layers stack, and Metrc is mandatory.
A 7% SQ788 excise sits on top of 4.5% state plus variable local sales tax, and every licensee has reported into Metrc since 2022. The excise base, the local resolution, and seed-to-sale reconciliation all have to be right at the register.
