Not a traditional AE. A rainmaker with a rolodex. You walk in already knowing 50-200 dispensary owners by first name. Your value is the existing relationships, not your ability to cold-call. CannAgent gives you something an operator you respect (Doug) actually built and runs.

Compensation

Base $130-160k + commission on year-1 ARR of every customer you close from your network (8-10% paid on collection) + equity track for foundational hires. Realistic year-1 take-home: $175k+ at 20 closed customers. No quota — paid for compounding work.

Why this role exists

Most cannabis-SaaS sales orgs scale by hiring more SDRs. We scale by hiring one Industry Connector and letting the AI handle the rest. Year-1 expectation: 15-25 closed customers from your network. By year 2 the AI handles 80% of inbound and you're a relationship-leverage operator, not a quota-carrying rep. The role is foundational — equity reflects that.

First 90 days

  1. Day 1-30: identify 30-50 warm prospects in your network. Spend a week on the live demo deploy so you can answer any operator question without asking us.
  2. Day 31-60: first 10 demos to your warm list. Close 3-5. Hand each off to the Cutover Lead with a written brief.
  3. Day 61-90: maintain the book on the closed customers (15 min/customer/quarter steady-state). Continue working the warm list. Surface 5+ product-feedback patterns to the AI Sales Engineer.
  4. By day 90: 8-12 closed customers, $150k+ ARR added, every customer past Day-30 cleanly hand-off-able to in-platform support.
